European wasps are at their worst around Altona from February to April, when nests in the ground, in retaining walls, under decking and inside wall cavities are at full size. Paper wasps build the small open nests under eaves and pergolas from spring.
We find the entrance, treat the nest with a dust the wasps carry inside, and remove what can be removed once the colony is dead. Wall-cavity nests are treated through the entry point without opening the wall. We work late in the day when the wasps are back at the nest, and we tell you how long to keep kids and pets clear.
Do not block the entrance yourself; wasps will chew another way out, often into the house.
