Rodents move into Altona homes from April as the nights cool; roof rats run the fence lines and power cables into roof voids; house mice come in under garage doors and through gaps around pipes. You hear them at night, find droppings in the pantry or smell them in a wall.
We start by finding the entry points, then place locked bait stations in the roof void, subfloor and along the outside runs where children and pets cannot reach them. Where baiting is not right for the property, such as homes with dogs that hunt, we use snap traps checked on a schedule.
The visit includes sealing advice: the gap under the roller door, the unscreened weep holes, the vent with the missing mesh. Fixing those is what stops the next lot coming in. A return check is booked so we can see the activity has stopped.
